RV Camping + 2026 Concerts
Campsite jams are common at bluegrass concerts
RED ALERT. Dates for Sacramento’s annual epic Aftershock Festival are already announced for October, 2026 and the Gem and Jam Festival is Tucson in early February is heavily booked.

Why worry about next year’s must-have concerts during the busiest holiday season?
For one thing, gift certificates to concerts-cum-camping are a great way to give. For another, it takes planning to attend today’s massive concerts in an RV.
Here are tips, some mine and some from from Matthew Smith at TicketSqueeze.com.

Start planning early, earlier and earliest. Study schedules. Know what days the hottest headliners will be on stage. Know campsite locations and facilities. See maps of the venue(s).
* Once you have dates (and second and third choices just in case) note times when RV’s can enter. After you are settled in, can you come and go or not?
* Make reservations for places to stay on your entire route to and from the concert.
* Read ALL rules for the concert and for campers. They will be massive and usually strict. Fail to follow the rules and you could be evicted with no refund.
*What are policies regarding cancellations and refunds? Use a trusted ticket site.

* If you’re new to this concert, is it family friendly or adults only? Are drugs and alcohol part of the scene? Know what kind of culture you're getting into.

Go zydeco! 1 |
* Surround yourself with local culture. Choices are endless: Bluegrass, Southern Gospel, Latin, Jazz, Christian, Native American, Greek and so on. Expand our dates to take in local museums, historic sites, local ethnic restaurants.
It’s not too early to picture yourself at your favorite live concert next year. You’ll settle into a campsite with a canopy of stars overhead and a surrounding sea of fellow campers, food trucks, vendors, good vibes and stages alive with nonstop music.
